Was KISS Fan Unfairly Dismissed From German Reality TV Show?
March 21, 2005A photo of the controversial tattoo that caused a 42-year-old KISS fan from Frankfurt to be dismissed from the German reality TV show "Big Brother" after it was deemed too similar to the symbol used by Nazi stormtroopers during World War II has been posted online at KissForum.de.
Although the tattoo was initially reported to be that of the original KISSlogo, the photo appears to suggest otherwise. Check it out at this location.
In an official statement announcing their decision to remove Charly from the "Big Brother" house, RTL 2, the German TV station responsible for producing the "Big Brother" show, said, "'Big Brother' is family entertainment. When RTL 2 has reason to believe that wrong implications or inferences could be made in connection with this show, or that our viewers could be offended by the program, we have the responsibility to act."
